An electric fence stands in an intruder's way as a physical, intimidating barrier. Its shock isn't lethal, but it's enough to stop most people in their tracks. A properly installed electric fence is also an early warning system: it tells you when someone tries to get onto your property, which makes it your first line of defence.
Almost any existing fence can have an electric fence added: on top, to stop intruders climbing over, or at the bottom, to stop them crawling under.

An electric perimeter fence has live wires, which shock, and earth wires, which don't. Most of the fences we install use aluminium wire. The shock is brief and not lethal, but it makes the fence very hard to climb, and the voltage can be adjusted for the level of security you need. Most home electric fences are a single zone.
The rules we build to. In a public area, the lowest live wire may not be lower than 1.5 m above the ground, so a wall lower than 1.5 m isn't really suitable. Angled brackets may lean out at most 45°, and may not reach over your neighbour's property without their consent. Yellow warning signs go up at least every 10 m, on every gate and at every corner.
Your certificate. Every new electric fence needs an electric fence certificate. We're registered with the Department of Employment and Labour to issue it. See electric fence COC.
Your alarm. The energizer can be connected to your alarm system, so a fence alarm reaches your armed response. We don't work on alarm systems ourselves, so your alarm company makes that connection.

We design a system to suit your property and send you a written quote before any work starts. Quotes from photos are free. If we need to see the property first, we only charge a callout fee if you don't accept the quote.
Our own team installs it. We never use subcontractors, and Franz is on site for almost every job.
We measure the voltage along the fence and test the alarm, so you know your fence works. Your new fence has a 1-year on-site warranty.
After that, we recommend a yearly electric fence service to keep your fence working as it should.
