An electric fence installation is highly
effective, however, it requires regular maintenance and/or repairs
from time to time to remain in
optimal working condition.
We here at FGM Automation have over 20 years worth of experience in electric
fence repairs and more than
three decades of combined experience. We carry a vast amount of parts with us all the time to be able to repair
your electric fence as speedily as possible without breaking the bank.
We will do a full inspection of your electric fence once we arrive at your premises to determine the status
of
the whole electric fence installation. Once this is done, we will start the electric fence repairs. When the
electric fence repairs are done, we will do a full test on the whole electric fence installation, including
measuring the fence voltage to ensure the fence is working at its optimal level, and we will also test the
battery backup for the electric fence energizer. We will contact you should
there be any major repairs needed on your electric fence before any work is done.
Several factors can lead to the need for electric fence repairs. These include extreme
weather conditions, such as heavy rain, lightning strikes, and exposure to harsh UV rays, which can damage
wires and insulators. Additionally, vegetation growth near the fence can cause short circuits when it makes
contact with the wires. Theft attempts or vandalism may also damage the fence's components, requiring
repairs. Regular wear and tear over time, as well as inadequate grounding, can lead to reduced shock
effectiveness. To ensure security and functionality, routine inspections and timely repairs are essential
for electric fences to work as it should.
The heart of your electric fence installation is your electric fence energizer.
If your energizer doesn’t work, then your electric fence is there only as an ornament. The first thing we
always do when we start working on an electric fence is to test the energizer. Among the tests we do on the
electric fence energizer is testing the output voltage of the energizer. If the voltage is too low, then we
try to adjust it where possible. If this fails then we will contact the client to inform him/her of the
status of the energizer and a solution to solve any problems.
